Does anyone know how Provigil compares to caffeine in terms of insomnia. Sleep was very difficult for me on psychostimulants, but generally not so bad w/ caffeine (relative to my baseline of sleep).
Can anyone comment on any experiences/thoughts as to where provigil might fight in this mix? Could it actually improve sleep if you use it in the daytime when you're usually tired?
And oh yeah, I know I asked this before but does anyone else take a beta blocker along with Provigil (as a specific combination or just coincidentally)?
Cheers ya'll

Provigil never kept me up at night. I was up to 400mg a day.

I have read several people mention that it improves their sleep. Personally I sometimes take adrafinil in the morning and it seems to make me sleep better at night.

When I took Provigil, I slept a lot better. In fact, I slept better than ever before. Caffeine tends to keep me awake, and I'm not sleeping all that great on Adderall, but Provigil was just wonderful for my sleep.
And I took propranalol with it, for a while, too.

i can sleep immediately after taking provigil.
hard to say if it actually improved the architecture, maybe...not dramatically, and i didn't notice is reduce REM much if at all.rather than trying to fight the insomnia of parnate, by using benzo's/trazadone, i'm trying to roll with it by calling it "sleep deprivation".
sleep deprivation is one of the the most statistically significant homeopathic antidepressants.
if you guys know anything about it i'd appreciate feedback on the thread just above this.if

From my experience a single night of only a few hours sometimes does have an AD effect. But chronically it wears terribly on my mood.
Wish I could be of more help. Thanks for your response.
