I've been on Parnate for just about 5wks now. Before my wash out period I was on Prozac, Imipramine and Ativan-this combo didn't work for me at all, but it did cause a lot of really bad side effects. The worst was near impotence, and complete anorgasmia...YUK! I had severe decreased sexual desire. I think I found sex to be too frustrating and began to lose interest. And then along comes PARNATE!! Wow, in 1 week my libido increased dramatically, my erections were firm and full, and the anorgasmia disappeared! Orgasms take a little longer, but definitely not too long. With a big smile on her face my wife calls me "Mr. Parnate". Well, the boys are with Grandma and my wife is looking pretty cute so , you guessed it, I've gotta go....Oh, Dear.......... :)

No, I really don't mean any disprespect. I can understand how this would be a very positive thing. :)

yeeehaw,
I couldn't keep "it" up with Nardil and I lost interest in sex. Its taken about 2 weeks to get my sensitivity back in that area since quitting nardil. Orgasm are great now. My low dose selegiline and DLPA combo may be helping the sexual part, not sure about the depression though.

For me that effect waned after several months.
I remember when I first started tranylcypromine; I was oversexed to the point of absurdity!
