I m thinking off adding amitrip. to nardil....
I tried it before and it cause greater anxiety, which rendered my Xanax intake doubled. But this could just be a startup effect....appart from that it was no probs....and i started it after Nardil....
Please comments
PS some vote Ami as the best AD ever...but it couldn't be as good as Nardil!

Desipramine or nortriptyline are safer to combine with MAOIs than amitriptyline.
I doubt you will like the side effects of AMI. Only protriptyline is more anticholinergic.
Frankly, if you tried reboxetine and it didn't work I don't see you enjoying this route. Get dextroamphetamine if you can.
A low enough dose of Stelazine is probably no more harmful than other antipsychotics, but you really do not want to take that stuff long-term unless there are no other options. Have you tried amisulpride?

Ace,
I combined Nardil with an established dose of 100mg nortriptyline with no problems. Nortriptyline is the major metabolite of amitriptyline and I believe causes less anxiety. In the long run I dropped the nortriptyline because, for me, it didn't really add to the efficacy of the Nardil.
