I hear you, I take 300 mg at night and its like being shot with an elephant dart. But for me its a blessed respite to be able to sleep that well.
Maybe split your dosing up into 100 mg every 6 hrs?

> ps. sorry for all my posts recentlyI take 950mg at night.. and I'll probably be dozing in the afternoon since I decided to stay up. But my only partial solution is to take the Seroquel at least 2 hours before I actually want to sleep. And then consistently go to bed at that time every day or earlier. Varying into the night will just push ahead what I know is a stupifying wakeup from Seroquel and the urge to go nap. Its really the only way.
If you can stand caffeine, which I can't much, you could try bi-daily dosing, but it makes most people a zombie in the afternoon I think. Its been shown once nightly dosing is as successful for treatment.

Hi Bipolarspectrum,
I take 800 mg--400 in the am and 400 at night. I try to take them at 7 am and 7 pm. I use coffee a lot--2 cups in the am and then at least one around 5 pm or earlier in the afternoon if I feel really groggy. I was "sleepier" at 600 mg than now. Maybe coffee or no-doz is the answer or maybe if you go up in dosage some the sleepiness will be less. Good LuckTammy

Thanx for the replies,
I think I'm going to try seroquel 1200 mg at night.. i hear that at the higher levels the sedation lessens.. i have not experienced that at 900mg but who knows, i may experience it at 1200mgs.. also, by increasing the seroquel dose, i may be able to reduce the lithium dose.... im currently on 1200 mg lithium, which is ok but has lots of side effects, like constant thirst... anywayz, i hope that seroquel works well for all of us!
