Looking to get an idea from those whose side effects went away as to how long it took.....2 weeks, a month, 2 months? More than that?

Most of the minor side effects at startup (ie headache, sweats) diminished after a few weeks for me...anorgasmia lasted months but eventually went away. Insomnia and cognitive impairment were the only ones that hung on for me.

some side effects will reappear when the dosage is altered also...you need to find a stable dose then they will diminish

I have been on effexor aprox. 4 weeks now. I have found the majority of the side effects are gone already, the only ones that reoccur every now and then is restless sleep and feeling lethargic (not sure if that is the drug or the depression).
Best of luck,

Hi I have been on it for two months now and the only but one of the worst side effects I still have is insomnia. I am increasing my dose to 112.4mg this week and am hoping it will subside. Other mild side effects like nausea and dizziness went away in a couple of weeks.

I've been on it like a year and half now, and the side effects never really went away. Wait, no, they did they a year ago I was put out to get my wisdom teeth out, and they side effects came back, but so weirdly that no one could figure out that they were side effects for quite a long time.
