does topamax do the same thing as zyprexa? i'm on zyprexa now and i've gained about 35 lbs. i heard that topamax is weight neutral? is it worth the switch? or is topamax for some other thing.
the zyprexa helps with sleep, dysphoric mania and such.
what do you think?

No, Topomax is not equivalent to zyprexa. And it's being used to help control weight gain with psychotropic drugs, rather than simply being weight neutral. It might have some use as a mood stabilizer, so you could try it, but I'd guess that it's worth trying just as a way to see if you could lose some of that weight from the zyprexa.
Good luck, and let us know if it words for you.
