I take serax for social anxiety, and NEVER read about it! Just wondering why....I'm actually going to try klonipin soon bceause it's the one benzo i've never tried, and i've read good things. The serax only slightly helps anyway.
thanks

yep, a benzo...it's worked the best for me so far, and i've tried a TON. the only one left for me to try is Klonopin, which I'[m going to start soon, see if it helps anymore. But until now, Serax has been the best.

It's my least favourite benzo. I think it was called Serenid in the UK when I asked an English doctor for a large script 25 years ago (everything with me is 25 years ago, it's like nothing's happened for 25 years, well I had kids, maybe that's it). You can imagine this middle aged sensible English doctor. She actually counted the days until I got back here.

Hi Dec
Why was oxazepam your least favourite benzo?

Hi Ed
Short acting, mentally debilitating (it had an undeserved reputation in 1975 for being a bit AD), takes an hour to work, stains your gums, tongue and lips (what do I care etc).

Hi Dec
In what way was it mentally debilitating? More so than other benzos?
>stains your gums, tongue and lips
Too much dye in the tablet?

Yeah Eddy, I think a bit more of the benzo mental thing. The dye used was a bit different in Serepax (here) and did that with teeth, gums, lips etc. It was thought to be the antspants because oxazepam is an active metabolite of diazepam.
