has anyone taken memantine (Namenda) for OCD or General Anxiety Disorder (GAD)?
There's a clinical trial going on right now at UCLA for the monotherapy use of memantine for OCD and GAD.

It is also being investigated for use as a treatment for Parkinsons. Evaluation of the potential usages of this drug are very preliminary in the US. I would recommend that you try searching through German archives to see how much work they have done in these areas. Memantine has been used there for over a decade to treat things like dementia, depression, and Parkinsons. I did come across a few things suggesting its use in OCD as well.
I tried it for bipolar depression. It produced a significant improvement intermittently over the first three weeks. However, diminishing returns forced me to give it up after a few months.

I've also heard of Memantine possibly being useful for ADHD and have considered running that by my doc.

That being said, I guess I can report that at least memantine did not produce any anxiety. I imagine you should know if memantine will help during the second and third weeks of treatment. Memantine has a long half-life, and it takes a while for it to build up in the brain to reach therapeutic levels. I would not look for results during the first week.
Have you discussed using pregabalin with your doctor? It would be an interesting drug to look into. It is anxiolytic, and, if it acts at all like gabapentin, a related drug, it might also reduce paroxsysmal panic events.
Have you tried Risperdal?
I really wish you the best of luck finding an answer. I just wish I had more to give you.
