For those of you that have tried dxm recreationally before, how did you know you didn't have the CYP2D6 liver deficiency? I read an article on dxm that says 6-10% of the population has this deficiency and It also says that for the people that have this deficiency it can result in hospitalization and death even with a small recreational dose. Did you start with a low dose ?

What will happen if a CYP2D6 deficient person uses dxm at recreational doses? WIll they die or will it just feel uncomfortable?

dxm probably isnt the best recreational drug...heavy-use can result in "olnoy's lesions" (i may have misspelled that), which is the kind of brain damage/alteration you see in people who use other dissociatives--pcp, for instance. You're probably better off smoking pot, eating shrooms, or dropping acid.
