I don't remember if I'm on week 3 or 4.. ROFL
Anyway, I have never taken my medicine faithfully (besides Lexapro and that freaked me out, ROFL).
But my anxiety became sooooo bad that I knew I had no choice. I had 5 bottles of Klonopin that I had filled over the last 6 months sitting in my cabinet. I felt like if I relied on it, I would be a failure so I let them sit there while I suffered.
Then it dawned on me how absolutely miserable I really was/am; anxiety sky rocketing, enough nervous energy to light up Texas, uncomfortable in my own skin, mood swings, etc...
So either 3 or 4 weeks ago, I started out with 1/2 of .5 mg's of Klonopin. Then 2 weeks ago, I hit .5 once a day.
I hesitate to move up higher because I am concerned what will happen when it's to come off of it, but I have noticed improvements.
I am not nearly as "edgy" as I was. I don't feel that horrible anxiety (it's there but it's manageable). I am sleeping well again, I'm less moody, etc..
In general, I just feel more "patient" and at peace. It hasn't really made me "happy" or "high" or even drowsy. Maybe because I'm dividing the doses up twice per day ( I take half of .5 twice a day).
Anyway, I think I'm going to just keep this up for a while and as long as I am seeing improvement, I will stick to it.

I contradicted myself.
I take .5 per day but I divide that dose up to .25 in morning and .25 in the evening.

If i was you, i my eyes would go bonkers like they do in cartoons. I take 6mg of Klonopin daily.
Klonopin really can help social anxiety alot but at higher doses you feel "depressed", ugh doped.
I dont really like my current treatment, i think i am going to ask my doctor about Xanax with Klonopin. I have been taking klonopin for about 7 months.
Anyways, i dont think high doses would be benefical if you take .5mg daily ROLF! walking with flat emotion, 1-2MG i think the quote "mommy look like she needs some batteries" would suite ROLF!
I take klonopin 2mg usally after a stressful day. It eases it a little, but i can tolerate very high doses.
Some people hate klonopin becuase it makes them depressed. I'm ... in the middle.
Xanax seems like more help, since it works more fast.
Well, pray for me becuase i am going through a rough time with worries.

Hi
I think that with Klonopin low dose are mainly beneficial for short term or emergency use. Long term use (ie. social phobia) requires a higher dose.
It sounds like you are afraid of addiction right? I dont blaim ya! Thats why I dont take them ongoing.
Though it can depend on how you look at things. Maybe addiction/dependency can sometime be a 'necessity' to recovery. There can actually be a big difference between addiction/dependency and 'abuse'. I'm in no way 'recommending' you become addicted mind you! Its just something that got me thinking.
A history of drug 'abuse' should obviously be considered.A 'necessary' addiction probably sounds ridiculous to most people, but since I read of someones personal account of this, it opened my eyes a little. Here's a link to it. Its the one entitled "Medication, Meditation and the Journey to Recovery":

Ideally, you want to take as low a dose as possible. But don't be afraid to raise it if necessary. Studies have shown, including a recent Harvard study, that daily doses in the range of 2 mg to 5 mg have been the most effective.
