THe 5-ht1b autoreceptor may be too active in depression. Shock, some AD's and exercise decrease it. rTMS too.

Where can I find stuff regarding the influence exercise has on 5-HT1b function. Is this a transient effect occuring acutely upon exercise or something that is gained only through chronic application.
Thanks.

I'm looking for the study. I posted it a while ago, it was a study about some of the general effects of exercise on learned helplessness.
It basically said that a few weeks of wheel running lead to a significant downregulation of 5-ht1b autoreceptor expression, lasting as long as the mice exercised.

You answered my question for me. Don't trouble yourself looking for the citation. That's a pretty strong argument for exercising.

How are you doing, by the way?

I'm doing so-so. Good days and bad. I'm taking a little bit of lithium, hardly sufficiant.
Yourself ?
I think this was the study.
