Nights sometimes I worry, about my thoughts that something is going to go wrong in general. I have many past situations that happened that caused this to happen.
Fear i think is a branch to something that has happened, and is reacted on. Panic Attacks, mental confusion, high anxiety states.
I have developed fears of things such as well in general knowing that everything is ok. I cant list the number of things that are in my mind.
If you have seen Alien (1979) where siqorney weaver is running through the hallways after this thing has killed all the crew, and trying shut down the selfdestruct sequence. That feeling of watching it relates to "fear" in general reacting to an extreme. "T-minus 1 minute" the rush of racing to shut it down (which she doesnt), is a panic attack.
I dont want to tell my fears because they get disturbing.
But does anyone else have symtoms of this?
Matt

Hi Matt,
'Neurosis' is an old term which refers to a wide variety of non-psychotic mental health problems ie. the person is not delusional and does not suffer hallucinations.
In particular, 'neurosis' refers to anxiety and obsessive-compulsive symptoms. In the past, patients with anxiety + depression were often diagnosed with 'neurotic depression' - particularly if traditional 'endogenous' symptoms were absent.
Some people consider the term 'neurotic' to be an insult.
Your fellow neurotic,
~Ed
