Effexor and Celexa vs. enjoyment of food

Posted by Camille Dumont on October 27, 2005, at 10:45:38

I've noticed something really strange with starting those two meds again. It seems that I don't enjoy food like I used to.

I'll be in the middle of eating something and all of a sudden I'll get sick of it and not finish it. This happends with things that I normally enjoy eating.

It's as if I'm more sensitive to the flavours. Things seem more bitter / acid / sweet than they used to ... more intense.

Has anybody noticed something similar?

If I thought one of these meds would restore my taste I'd take it as quick as I could. Fondly, phillipa
