DA1, DA2, DA3 - what are they good for?

Can anyone tell me which of these receptor sites is responsible for what? I.e. which one deals with motivation, etc.? Which might cause anxiety?

I ask because I have been prescribed Abilify now.

I'm really not too sure.

Many of the AD's work via increasing the sensitivity of the d2 receptor in the neucleus accumbens.

There is some good information at.

Different receptors may bring reward to different activities.

Incentive learning may be cued by the d1 receptor, for instance.

You know, there's really no way to tell beforehand how I will feel if I take Abilify until I just take it and see. I keep wanting to know beforehand what the results will be.

And I think a family physician would probably be very willing to prescribe a drug as old and tested as imipramine. Especially if he knew you had been on it some time in the past and it worked for you but you discontinued it because you got better but now you are worse again and would like to go back on it.
