I took it a couple days ago. That is now a no no.
I was so sedated to sedated to be depressed!
And Klonopin has been known to cause depression.
It lasts for about 4 hours for me, i was laid back, everything was peaceful, i wasnt drunk like, like temazepam, just very sedated. Speech and coordination where ok.
I took it mainly of sleep deprivation from only 2 hours of sleep the other night. My nerves where wired up to the MAX. A good thing klonopin gives is relief, during a severe anxiety episode, it doesnt elevate mood at all, more like drag it down. But it does have to have some credit.
Xanax i've heard improves mood some, but it has more withdrawl side effects than Klonopin.
Thats all

Benadryl never let me sleep even when I was on a very low dose of benzos. It just made me tired. Fondly, Phillipa

I've taken klonopin for years and it never helped my sleep. Worked on anxiety, but seemed to depress me too. I think there are a lot of better choices out there for help with sleeping.

benedryl has always worked well for me and some other ppl i know. but hey, every med affects everyone differently.
here's hoping you all find something that helps you sleep, because sleep deprivation is the worst for anxiety.

Benedryl does work somewhat, but if I take it I make sure that I take it early otherwise I'll be groggy for half the day. It seems to have that affect for at least 12 hours. My doctor gave me a new sleeping pill, Luneseta. It's narcotic free and not a benzo. I took it for the first time last night and slept great. I'm told to use it as needed. I think it's like other sleeping aids including benedryl that if you take it every night it will lose its affectiveness. Ambien did nothing for me. My sister likes taking Halcion on occation.......

Speech and coordination where ok.Probably because you weren't accustomed to 6mg of Klonopin at one time (It wouldnt do alot for me since I'm at high dose Valium). Temazepam is probably a better choice of benzo for short term sleep deprivation.

Benadryl can also be of some use for temporary insomnia but I know for me that it both takes a while to work and it causes depression the following day.Better off with the medications intended for sleep like Ambien or Lunesta.
For a period of time you could also use Trazodone, although its a kinda nasty way to go to sleep in my opinion. It lowers your blood pressure and makes you dizzy. Of course that's the same effect I get from Seroquel at night if I stay up long enough for it to take effect.
Hope you find a good sleep aid.
