How many times a day should you take nardil? Can I take it all at night? It makes me really sleepy when I take it.

People keep suggesting this to me too. But no pdoc will rx it. So how do you like it and how long have you been on it, and have you used all the others classes of AD's? And are you in the USA? Sorry for so many questions. Fondly, Phillipa

Hi
I spread mine out throughout the day but also find it makes me sleepy.
I have taken 60mg at once a few times and the worst that happens is sedation so this would indeed be ok I think. In fact, such a dose often gives me a temporary 'euphoria' for a good hour, sometimes longer! Though I can still sleep if I want.
I would try taking it all at night myself but I feel that spreading it out helps more with anxiety.
Good luck.

I've taken 90mg all at once at night with no problem. I sure would not do it until I had been on the medication for quite some time. All I had was anecdotal evidence that once a day dosing with Nardil was OK. Kind of an experiment to see how it affected the daytime somnolence. Since then, I have gone back to morning and evening dosing. This is just about as easy to keep track of. The once nightly dosing didn't seem to make a difference for me on daytime sleepiness.
