I think all of us have such different unique reactions to meds that it is hard to say which med will do what. I found zoloft to be emotionally numbing, but others find it not to be. I think the problem seen most often with zoloft is the poopout factor.
I found zoloft to be emotionally numbing right from the start. I've been on lexapro for two weeks now and have not felt the expected numbing. But I'm only at 7.5mg (compared to 25mg zoloft that numbed me out immediately).
But we're all different. On paper at least, lexapro looks better...hints of faster onset, hints of higher responder rates, hints of higher remission rates, hints of easier side effects. But then again, we're all different, and what looks good on paper doesn't always pan out.
This is the end of the thread.
