I've been taking 500mg of Lamictal for 4 weeks and it doesn't seem to be helping. He wants me to try Effexor. What dosage should I begin with?

I'm sorry the Lamictal by itself didn't work for you. Have you experienced any memory problems or just feeling stupid? If so, you might want to gradually reduce the dosage to minimize cognitive side effects.
