Posted by Panic Disorder on July 25, 2005, at 21:59:29Hello,
Your posts moved me to tears. I can relate to the pain and struggle you are all going through. I am comforted to know that there are others out there who are facing the same issues I am. I have struggled with anxiety all of my adult life. A few months ago, it got a grip on me, and for whatever reason I was totally unable to cope. Does anyone find their condition worsens with age? Or changes? I think I went from Generalized Anxiety disorder, to having severe panic disorder. I coudn't do anything without having panic attacks, I hit bottom and surrendered to my Doctors not wanting to lose my kids or become unable to care for them. I had do go on disability (and I heard the company doesn't really believe I'm sick) Hmmm....let's see go to work? or feel like I'm dying 24 hrs a day? I would choose work anyday.....I've been on Klonopin for a couple months....one of my biggest struggles is fear of the medications....fear of losing control...or having an adverse reaction...or dying.....or becoming worse...psycotic...manic....or whatever the warnigs on the box say. I am supposed to start Cymbalta today. I doubt I will have the courage to gag one down tonight, but the physical pain this illness is causing is really getting to me....and the sedative effect of the klonopin is depressing me and my family. From reading your posts, I am a bit more at ease about taking Cymbalta....has anyone had a bad result with it?
Glad to have found you,
Alicia
