Is everyone willing to give up sex in order to have relief from Social Phobia, or am I missing something? Seem's like Nardil and the SSRI's all have a major negative impact on sexual function. Klonopin seems to be the only effective non-depressant therapy, but, while it doesn't affect your sex life, you may not recall having had sex. Short-term memory impairment is pretty significant.
From John, who is on Nardil without sex. Maybe "Nardil with sex" should really be the name for it.

Its not so much that I am against the idea of giving up sex, but I think that it can significantly disrupt normal psychological function over the long term. Certain sex hormones consitute major neuroactive agents, and who knows the long term effects of altering their levels are.

Maybe it depends on how important sex is to your understanding of what is important in life. As I've got older sex seems more important.
Isn't this what is meant by "youth is wasted on the young"? It was certainly wasted on me.

Me, too. Like most of my friends, we talked about sex a lot. Never did a huge amount of it, even when I was at the University of Arizona. But, the sexual climate seems to have changed a little bit. And, yes, as I've gotten older (45), I'm wishing that sex was higher on my priority list when I was younger. Now, when I seem to want it more, there is just the problem of Nardil . . .
