I went and sa w my pdoc and he prescribed me 30mg of adderall XR once a day. any in put on this drug is greatly appreciated....Maxime and Paul, you know my issues with the weight:)

Hi Vivi.
I hope it's okay for me to butt in. When I was on Dexedrine, I had a good appetite and hardly lost any weight. When I got off of Dexedrine, I lost about 18 pounds, probably because of depression. I was never able to stay on Adderall for very long because I didn't like the way I felt on it, but when I did take it, it suppressed my appetite too much. That was yet another reason to stop taking it.

I have probably gained weight and i take 40-50mg a day! Decent antidepressant. Gives me enough energy to do what I need to do so as not to be depressed. Tolerance to Euphoria, but I could care less. I'm just happy not to be depressed. Can't drink too much coffee though or I'll get weird!Scott

Let us know how you do on Adderall Viv. I really don't think you will any problems ( any worse than you had on Dexedrine) with weight loss.

Maybe you need less. How many mg are you taking and are you using the tablets or the XR version?

If you have a racing heart on Adderall I would stronly advise yoy to monitor your blood pressure. Mine went from 128/75 to 145/110 on 30mg of Adderall instead of 72mg of Concerta.

i am seeing my pdoc on thursday. my heart races and I have already lost 2 pounds. I have not tried Concerta only Dexedrine.
