When did you take your Seroquel? All at once

Posted by DoYouKnowHim? on June 8, 2005, at 8:55:35

I am new to Seroquel, on two 25 mg doses. Should I take both at once, or one during the day and the other at night? Thanks.

This differs from person to person. Although Seroquel has a short half-life(6hrs), the half-life of its effects last longer. Most likely at this dose, especially if it is prescribed specifically for anxiety, you would benefit most by taking it twice daily. But as a sleep aid and anxiety, it could work well taken all at once at bedtime. I would try whatever my doctor suggested first.

I can tell you my experience on Seroquel. When I take one during the day and the other at nigth, instead of helping me, it makes very sleepy ,uncomfortable, and does not help with my anxiety. On the other hand taking both doses of 50mg at nigth help me alot. Better sleeping and less anxyety during the day.

Hope this helps !
