No the effects I am feeling are from the Parnate. It's a different kind of headache than one would get from hunger. Beside I don't hunger cues anymore.

I know, I know, it's hard to understand anorexia and the hold it has on people, but it's hell. And I know I am starving my brain. I know all the damage I am doing ... I don't expect anyone who hasn't been there to understand.

Hi Maxime,
You know, this could be a sign of your thyroid being out of whack. When I get hyperthyroid (when I am on too much thyroid meds), I start to sweat profusely with heat and the slightest exertion. I also get a headache in the forehead area. Can you get your TSH checked?

Hi GG -
It was okay just 2 months ago. But I am seeing another endo on the 15th so I am sure she will test it.
But Parnate is known for making you sweat and the feel the heat more. And I remember this headache from when I tried to take over 100 mg of Parnate. I was still trying to find the right dosage then.
But you could be right and I will know another week or so. Maybe I have gone hyperthyroid as well. Who knows?
I'm a mess.

I couldn't take the headache etc. any longer and had to take some thorazine. Damn. My system needs to be clean of that stuff for 4 months to have my prolactin levels checked.
Loser. Would someone please just take me out into a field and shoot me.

Hi.
The thorazine calmed everything down in 15 minutes and I only took about 12 mg. The headache, the pounding heart ... all gone. And then an hour later I had to go bed because I was so tired from it.It was my encrinologist who told me that about the prolactin levels and the blood test.
A walk in the English countryside sounds nice ...

Okay, I tried 80 mg of Parnate again today but took it with the bulk of my food which I consume in the morning. Let's see if I have a reaction ...

Hi Maxi!
That's GREAT! It sounds like you had a hypertensive reaction. Will you get a BP monitor?? It could be useful in the future.

We shall see how it goes. I just wish it didn't make me sweat so much. But it's a common side effect. Oh the price we pay.

Could you describe what this headache was like? Where in the head did you feel it?

Hi Maxi,
I sweat heavily on citalopram. Last summer, when I was working in the pharmacy, the sweat would soak my shirt and drip down my face onto the counter!
>thorazine....
Keep plenty in stock :-)

In my temporal lobes. It wasn't a pounding headache like a tension headache. It was just constant.Maxime

Hey Scott, why do you ask about the headache. Do you get it too from the Parnate?

Hi Maxime.
> Hey Scott, why do you ask about the headache. Do you get it too from the Parnate?
No, but the only time my doctor tried going above 100mg of Parnate, the patient reported having headaches in the center of his head. That kind of spooked him such that he has been reluctant to try the same thing with me. Mind you, I have been at 120-150mg for months at a time. The only headache I ever had occurred at 60mg when I accidently ate some pepperoni. I experienced the tyramine headache which is experienced as a painful throbbing behind the head at the occiput (occipital headache). I was wondering if your headache was more similar to that of my doctor's previous patient or to mine. It sounds like yours was indeed similar to his previous patient. I don't know if it is a reflection of increased blood pressure. He never took it. Perhaps it was just a dilation of cerebral blood vessels as occurs with migraines.
