Hi
Ever since I started taking Parnate in 2002 I find myself grinding my teeth. When I was off for a while, no grinding.
Just wondering if anyone has encountered this problem.

Amphetamine does that to me. Dunno if that's a dopamine related thing, because I haven't had it with deprenyl, bromocriptine or Hydergine. Noradrenaline?

Not on Parnate but it happened a lot on Cymbalta. And a friend of my on Paxil has to wear a mouth guard to bed for the same reason.

Maxime,
I've never tried Parnate, but I almost cracked my teeth right out of my head on high doses of Wellbutrin.

I didn't have that problem on Parnate, but I had it on Zoloft and on Celexa. Actually, it started when I was on Zoloft and lasted several years, even after stopping Zoloft. When I was on stimulants, occasionally I would grind my teeth when the medicine was wearing off late in the day.

I hate to say it, but that was when I had problems on Wellbutrin, too! At the end of the day and at night!

At night when I sleep, I chew the inside of my check. Gross. I really think I will go to the dentist have him take a look in case I need a mouth guard or something. I'm in my mid 30's and I don't have one filling ... my teeth are good!

big bruxism problem with parnate, altho i couldn't tolerate that med for more than 5 days even at a low dose, due to very bad side-effects, too numerous to mention . also, yes, on zoloft (renowned for it, possibly #1 med that does this); also when on wellbutrin. i *think* those were the only ones. - oops forgot desipramine.
