Hi,
Does anyone experience this:1. Get excited and hopeful at the thought of trying a new drug
2. When about to take the first pill, feelings of nervousness that it may not work set it
3. when it doesnt work right away, feelings of hopelessness
4. Back to step 1I always experience this

Yes, that's a very accurate description of what happens for me.
However, the feelings of hopelessness continue as the drug continues to not work or I realize that it somehow sucks and isn't doing what it's supposed to or it's wacking me out or..... whatever else.
And then I always manage to get excited again about some new drug.

Been there done that. Now I don't even to bother. I don't believe there is a med to help. I still have the vouchers for the two free lunesta pills. Fondly, Phillipa

Yeah, I have that cycle. But I don't have the exited stage any more.

That's right Linkadge. I might get excited if the doc gave me morphine or GHB but that's not likely. My mental woes are a bit like warts. Throw what you like at them. They just stare defiantly back. Then one day when you've forgotten all about them, they vanish

Me too.How wonderful it is that, despite a history of repeated treatment failures, you still have enough hope to place in new treatments.

Funny, I am not like that. I guess that's my negativity coming through. Of course I have nothing new to try for now. But I feel as though I have lost all hope when it comes to meds. However, I do get excited when I read about natural remedies.
