I'm just starting on Mirapex for bipolar depression, and so far I've been able to tolerate it. It's made me kind of groggy during the day. Has anyone else had this side effect? Does it tend to go away with time? I'd really like to stick with the drug.

What dose are you on? Is your doctor increasing the dosage SLOWLY? If you start too high, you'll get lots of side effects - especially grogginess/sleepiness. If you increase it too quickly you can suffer sudden sleep attacks - so becareful driving. Seriously. If you start at a very small dose and increase it little by litle over weeks, you can usually avoid the side effects - and yes they do get better.
