Actually this is sort of an interesting question; I assume you're referring to obsessing about possible side effects, reading the PDR from cover to cover and generally feeling reluctant to take anything.. if this is what you're referring to, I've experienced it during the therapy I'm now on. It's sort of an obsession about an obsession in a way. Luvox helped in my regards, although I can't say that taking a pill will "stop thinking." You are who you are made up of, medication just helps. CBT (behaviour therapy) as mentioned helps as well.

No. I used the word "remission" to mean the clinical state where all of the symptoms of an illness have disappeared.

I'm sure there's a drug out there that has an amnesia-like effect that makes you forget this website and names like 'Peter Breggin'. But I just can't remember what it is...

I watched a South Park episode where every kid was put on Ritilin for ADD.
They all smoothed out and became too sensible and the chef was disgusted that they wanted to see Phil Collins play.
Anyway the chef asked the pharmasist to gave them an antidote called Ritilout.
First time I laughed for ages.

Did you see The Simpsons episode when Bart was put on "Focusin"? It worked for a while -- started taking his studies seriously. But then he went too far. Started being hypercritical of everyone, and ultimately thought an NBA satellite was trying to read his mind. The funny part turned out to be... he was right. He blew this satellite out of the sky and it was full of NBA fan info.
