>I'd like to know when Pfizer plans on launching it in the US...they've been waiting months for the DEA(?) to assign Lyrica to one of the schedules in the controlled substances act. On the other hand, My pdoc mentioned that there were conflicting reports as to how effect pregabalin is in treating anxiety disorders. Users on this site have also reported a rapid tolerance to the drug...I'm not all that interested in trying it.

It's used to treat certain forms of neuropathic pain. The FDA decided not to approve it for the treatment of generalized anxiety disorder. It's very similar to Neurontin from what I have read, but has an advantage in that it has been demonstrated to be effective at much lower doses.

Sorry my experience with Pregabalin has been very frustrating!
It works well for the first few days, then tolerance suddenly develops, even raising the dose doesn't help.Annoyingly it takes a week or two of abstinance for tolerance to reverse.
I had high hopes for Pregabablin but its turned out to be a disapointment for me.
Hope you react differently
