I was just wondering if nortriptyline can be augmented by a low dose of Wellbutrin, or is this combination contraindicated? I apologize in advance if this question has already been asked and answered (I didn't come across see in the archives).
If the wellbutrin/nort combo is a no go, then would Zoloft be more activating to combine with nort than Celexa?
Thanks so much.

Hi Tamara,Sounds like you may still be experiencing fatigue. Sorry to hear that. I believe that Wellbutrin is contraindicated with tricyclics. I think that Zoloft would be a bit more activating than Celexa. Whether it would be enough of a difference for you is hard to say.

> K~~ Thanks Kara. The fatigue is still there, in spite of my best efforts to combat it. And, PMS is really sucking the life out of me these past number of months. I just start to feel a bit better, and then WHAM, hormones rear their ugly heads and I am a mess. I am discouraged and starting to give up hope (which is not like me at all). Ever since the Depo shot, my system has not been the same. Oh well, enough whining. I hate the thought of trying yet another AD (I was having a good response to nort until I added Klonopin), but maybe Zoloft would be better than Celexa. Something to think about.
Take care, and I will talk to you soon.

(Above post didn't work, trying again...)
I'm taking 150 mg Wellbutrin in the day and 50 mg Amitriptyline at night with no problems.

Hi,I'm so sorry to hear that you're experiencing this setback but at least you know that it's related to hormones and those can be regulated. You just need to find a good doctor who can help. I can see where you would start to lose your hope though, after finally getting your mood and anxiety under control. Do you know of any good doctors who could help (and not by recommending Depo!)?
Also, maybe you will be able to add in some Wellbutrin. Jakeman doesn't seem to be having any problems with it. There are other options too. Try to remember how good you've been feeling. That's possible again.
