For those with successful responses to SSRI's for unipolar depression -- I was informed 6 weeks was the watermark for max responses at a given dose. Have you found this to be true or do benefits continue to improve over a longer period of time?
Input appreciated.

I take an SSRI for OCD and was told that the max benefit was approx. 12 weeks. For depression I know its less, but I think it varies for everyone.

Someone just E-mailed me that I had been on zoloft an awful long time and maybe I should try something else. It's been since January. I think he's right. Fondly, Phillipa

I'm pleased with my results and if I am at the max of what I'm going to receive, I'm fine with it. I think it's human nature to wonder if things could be a bit better, thus my question. I've tried to be realistic in my expectations as what these meds can actually do. So, well begun maybe all done, but I am alright with that at this point.
