I was wondering why seroquel makes you gain weight? Is it because you eat more or does it have something to do with the way it changes your metabolism (if it does). Thanks Liberty

i read that it antagonizes the histamine-1 receptor. it may have something to do with that. maybe dopamine-2 receptor antagonism also has an effect?

That is true Phillipa because when I am depressed I don't eat much but when I am happy I do tend to eat more.
