Is there a limit to how many questions one can ask in a single day??? Cuz' I might have broken that rule today.
I have been on this Klonopin for over a month now. It is doing nothing for my anxiety- I almost wonder if I am worse.
Of course, if it's my thyroid/blood sugar, would that even matter or help to begin with?
Anyhow, when I was in the hospital they gave me Ativan. It helped tremendously with my anxiety.
Do you think my doctor would have a problem with me switching or asking for a switch? Klonopin might as well be tylenol as far as I am concerned.

Spriggy, I don't see why he would object if he has said xanax is okay. Klonopin didn't help me either. Fondly, Phillipa

Hi Spriggy!
I thought you'd already tried lorazepam (Ativan) and it made you 'freak out'. I remember you saying that you tried to jump out of the car. Perhaps I am getting mixed up.
Kind regards,
Ed.

ha ha Ed... NO, you are CORRECT.
That was me. That my FIRST time on Ativan on (1 mg) on a very stressful night ( they rushed me out of my dad's hospital room and told me his heart was failing).
But yes, I did try to jump out of the car. When that Ativan hit me, I felt like I Couldn't move my legs, and TOTALLY wigged out.BUT, in the hospital, they gave me a much lower dosage ( I'm small) and on .5 mg's I did GREAT on it.
So either I reacted that way the first time bcause the dose was too high OR I was already in "panic" mode before I took it and when it started to "kick in" I just wigged myself out.
Either on is possible.
But I realized after the hospital stay, that Ativan was not the drug from the devil that I had accused it of being. LOL

Hi Spriggy!

Perhaps you felt like you couldn't move due to Ativan's muscle relaxant effect.

Ed.

You are probably right but to this already wired up- on high alert all the time- gal, muscles and legs not moving means something very, very bad is happening. LOL
