Larry H. - Is Abilify available in Canada

Posted by Maxime on April 1, 2005, at 1:32:19

Hi Larry:

Do you know if Abilify is available in Canada? This is the site I use to see if a med is available in Canada http://www.hc-sc.gc.ca/hpfb-dgpsa/tpd-dpt/index_drugs_noc_e.html

Is there anywhere else I can check?

I found Canadian Pharmacies online that see Abilify to the U.S. but according to the link above it is not available.

Thanks in advance.

Maxime

The link I use is not exactly the same one:

That is the central repository for information on what drugs are approved for sale in Canada. There is no other place to look. I don't know how quickly it is updated, though, so if you check the link that you gave, you might see the instant a drug is released....

You can import drugs, with your doctor's or pharmacist's direct assistance. There is a permit they must obtain, in advance of the importation, and the drug must be shipped to them, not to you. That's the only way around it, if you want to choose that route.

Thanks Larry. I saw the forms etc. that would be used to have the medication imported. I'm not working right now so I don't think I would have the money to pay for Abilify. But I have been interested in trying it since seems to act differently than other anti-psychotics. I wonder how much it raises one's prolactin levels?
