I have taken trazodone 50mg during six days. I think i stopped taking it because i could not concentrate anymore but concentration was important that time. The Trazodone even gave me some euphoria but i did not like this feeling (almost like somebody addicted to amphetamine, that i have observed when i worked in hospital) The trazodone was "pro erectional" but it caused ejaculation delay. Does somebody have the same side effect and is it bothersome?

I had the same thing... no problem with erection, but ejaculation was difficult to near impossible... I was taking it for sleeplessness related to starting Lexapro, and it was great for my sleep (best ever in my life, I think) and also gave me some really amazing and vivid dreams, which I liked... but my sexuality is way too important to me... if I was single, I think I'd be pretty okay with it... but what you described seems to be right along the lines of my experience...
I stopped taking it a few days ago and my head's a mess... I'm just going to fight through the next week or so to see if it will clear up...

Instead of going off the trazadone you can counter act the sexual side affects that you're having w/busbar(which is also a good anti-anxiety med and can help w/ depression)

The thing is, I want to be on as FEW meds as is possible... I work in behavioral health, managing a residential site for SMI adults, some of whom are taking upwards of 20 pills a day...
I've fought through this depression for a loooooong time on my own, therapy on and off for the last six years with no meds... but I'm just starting to go the medication route as a conjunct to my therapy, because I'm finally at the point that I can accept the need for it if necessary...
I'm going to try Benadryl OTC for a while and see how that does... anyone else have experience with this??

It depends what your primary problem is: bp, depression, anxiety...
There are following pro erectional ad's:
-trazodone/nefazodone (libido and erection, above all erection trough alpha1-blockade/downregulation (?), delay most people)
-Wellbutrin (more libido, without delay)
-buspar (libido, but for me it did not have any effect)
-mirtazapine (especially libido perhaps also erection, no delay)
-for erection you can also take tadalafil, sildenafil but even alpha1-antagonists like doxazosine
This is the end of the thread.
