I stopped Parnate cold turkey and suffered no ill effects. Also, some people take Nardil for 2 weeks and then stop it (the lucky ones who don't need a maintenance dose).
I think you will get different responses to your question. Considering you didn't do well that last time you stopped it, maybe you should taper.
What do you think you should do? What if you stop cold turkey and if you suffer PHYSICAL problems take 30 mg and then bring it down from there. No matter what you do you are going to suffer psychologically no matter what (from what you have experienced in the past when you stopped it).

Preety slowly, but I'm my own doctor really! All the doctors, even most shrinks, once they realise that I understand psychiatric jargon/diagnosis, and the workings of psych drugs, preety much put me in the drivers seat....
But I think its best to go off 15mg every 2 days...
You take care friend,

I agree somewhat...i will end Nardil within 2 weeks now. slower taper not cold turkey. But with Xanax for example, I would taper off thast over 2 months or so...

I believe I would experience those big brain 'zaps' for quite some time if i stopped cold turkey. also, a general feeling of malaise.

No matter what you do you are going to suffer psychologically no matter what (from what you have experienced in the past when you stopped it).You are spot on i think. A depressive period is a reall possibility....but I have to suffer in order to feel good again -- once i let my brain 'refresh' and become sensitive (post-synapic receptors) to Nardil again (around 3-4 months off) my doctor is absolutely sure the Nardil brilliance will come back 100%.
