Hello guys
I need your help , I am planning to reach 90mg of Nardil for the first time. One year ago I reached the 75 but then I had an Hypertensive C and I had to suspend it , then I started to taking it again but only to 45 or 60mg. My imsomnia was terrible at 75mg. I believe this is not gonna be a problem now, because of Seroquel. How fast should I reach the 90´s ?
Im on 45mg...... maybe
increasing to 60mg for 5 days ,
then 75mg for one week and
then finally 90mg.What do you think babblers??
What would you do in my position??Tep

I would spend 2-3 weeks at each dosage to:1. Evaluate the potential for therapeutic response.
2. Minimize side effects - once you get them, they are sometimes hard to get rid of.

Hi Tep!
>My imsomnia was terrible at 75mg.
How long did you take 75mg for?
Did you have any other side effects apart from insomnia?
How fast did you increase the dose last time?
Did you benefit from 75mg?Best Regards,
Ed.

Anorgasmia, and also I couldn´t do exercise without getting exausted very fast. A little bit of weigth gain also.> How fast did you increase the dose last time?
Very Slow , I was 4 or 5 weeks on 60mg, then I increased to 75

Hi Tep!
>mmm , I dont believe so , only my side effects were greater
4 weeks isn't long, some people take longer to respond for anxiety.
>Anorgasmia
Oh well, it's not that much of a big deal compared with social phobia!
Good luck increasing,
Ed.

Hi.
> >Anorgasmia
Anorgasmia very often disappears after 2-3 months with Nardil. Remain optimistic. In the meantime, keep "trying". It might help retrain that part of the CNS that much faster.

Of course Ed =). I prefer anorgasmia than SP. Anyway I know every human being is constantly looking for something better in his lives. Once you have controled your Social Phobia, then one starts to getting worried about the others things , like Anorgasmia or weigth gain. It is an endless chain.
The fact that people start thinking about Sexual Side effects instead of their desease represents a good sign in their improvement.Bad english sorry ed , =(
Greetings

> Rigth now I am experimented ,a low libido. Do you think that could go away too?I guess it's possible that Nardil has had some negative impact on your libido, but it is unlikely that it is as pronounced as with the SRIs. If you begin to respond to it, you might find that your libido will recover. I understand that you are treating SP only? Nardil, when it improved my depression, also improved my libido, but it was the depression that left me without one in the first place.

Maybe , the new Nardil isn't working for you.
taking the max or more may not be the solution.

That's cool, why are you coming to live in the UK? What will you do here?
I've never been to Brighton, I don't know any doctors round there unfortunately. You should be able to find someone to prescribe Nardil though, I don't think it will be too difficult since you're already taking it. You will have to resist pressure to be transfered to an SSRI though!
