Well, I just bit the bullet and swallowed my first pill.I'm 12 minutes into it and still alive.

I said I'd never take Lamictal or Zyprexa and I'm on both now! So much for that, huh?
I know a few people IRL that have done very well on Depakote where most other meds failed.

Depakote itself wasn't that bad when I took it. I may have even liked it, I can't remember, plus I was on Paxil. The only problem was that I trusted the pdoc that gave it to me and I never got a warning about weight gain (on Paxil AND Depakote) and being a teenage girl, gaining the 50 or so lbs in 2 months was devastating. Not trying to scare you! Just watch what you eat is all. I probably would have continued to take it if it weren't for that. Good luck. I hope it works out for you.

lunesta, I'm on Symbyax for bipolar II which I was diagnosed with last year. I had been diagnosed with major depression for over 20 years prior. It took the shrinks a while to catch it.
