I used to be on xanax a few years ago. I quit going to the pdoc. He asked me what I'd prefer and I said ativan for a change. That just made me sleepy. After a few months I went back and said I didn't feel that "relaxed" state I got from xanax, just tired so he started klonipin. What is this like. I thought I wanted that sedating feeling but now I feel like a zombie and see the difference between xanax and ativan. what feeling do most of you get from klonipin. I have bipolar with major anxiety/ panic attacks. Anyother benzo info from anyone would be great.

I think being Bipolar complicates matters. Don't many Bipolar people go on Antipsychotics for anxiety? Fondly, Phillipa

it can take a week or 2 to get past the zombie like effects of klonopin. it is very strong benzo. once you level out on it, you wont feel like that.. and it lasts longer than xanax also.
