Unfortunately it seems that the threads discussing the negative effects of Effexor were more active several years back. But just in case anyone was out there...
I have been having horrible night sweats for the last year. Sometimes they are so bad that i have to change my close at least once during the night. The night sweats are drenching. What is strange is that they didn't start till i had already been taking the effexor for almost two years! I had everything else tested, but ultimately there is nothing else wrong and it seems like it has to be the Effexor. Has anyone had these type of night sweats and if so, when did they start?PS. It is good to know i'm not alone with the lightening bolt headaches when i forget to take the effexor. Such a weird feeling.

I have found the opposite - I'm freezing!! My feet are like blocks of ice now. I've only been on the effexor a month, and just started 150 mg daily...the yawning just won't go away and the need to stretch...I'm hoping this will eventually pass. Not being rude/insensitive, but if you are female >35 yrs old, could it be the onset of menopause?? Also, if you are drinking more alcohol than ususal, that could be the cause - I know I get awful night sweats when I've been binging. Hope this helps.
