I know it's controlled but can GHB really be used for anxiety or will it put you right to sleep?

From what i have heard and seen myself it is amazing for both anxiety and depression at low doses. I dont like it very much though. Doesn't really do anything for my anxiety or depression. Just makes me feel drunk(at the higher dose levels). And i've taken it for sleep at the correct dosage and woken up at the hospital with my parents wondering what the hell happened to me(i guess i should have told them i would be asleep for 4 hours and not being able to wake). I've seen people go through withdrawal from long-term use of it and it looked a lot like someone going through heroin and benzo withdrawal at the same time. So unless you can't get Xyrem prescribed i strongly advice against self medicating with it.
