anyone have good experience with these two and can compare and contrast the effects?
amphetamine is very helpful with SA for me, and makes me want to talk to people. It is also very effective for motivation. Is ritalin useful for such motivation as well?

Both help my inattentive ADHD differently.
Ritalin helps me stay on track and avoid distraction. Doesn't make me more social
With amphetamine I make better decisions / do smarter work and feel less "robotic." Sometims makes me talky.Currently being prescribed a combination

my vote is also for adderall/amphetamine. concerta (ritalin) had the same effect on me, i think, but was milder and less effective in a comparable dose. adderall makes me feel alert and awake, helps me concentrate, and (good or bad) suppresses my appetite a lot. concerta did all these things, too, but to a lesser extent. i do think, though, that concerta is smoother than even adderall xr, so that might be a factor.
