adderall questions

Posted by bark2323 on January 6, 2005, at 17:08:37

Hi, I have some questions about adderall. I used to take provigil 400mg a day (along with a recently upped dose of 15mg of zyprexa, 4mg klonopin, and sometimes 20mg ambien, which I all still take). The provigil has been replaced with adderall XR 20mg. I gained a lot of things from the provigil that I dont think many people have; increased attention, motivation, and sociability, although not much help in keeping me alert after the first few months. When I recently went to the dr we decided to try adderall, mainly for insurance reasons and as a sort of 'experiment' since the provigil's effects were lessening. Should I be expecting similar things from the adderall? I have noticed a bit better attention and definitely am more alert, but my motivation is less than that with provigil as is my sociability. Actually the alertness (which is actually a sort of calm, sometimes uncomfortably so, alertness) is the main thing I feel at all from it. Is this drug simply not for me, or is this considered a low dose? I want to be able to regain the motivation and sociability I had from provigil, and I was wondering if that is just not something amphetamines help, aside from a select few. I knew it could possibly make me antisocial, but I did expect some boost in motivation.
thanks,
matt

You can go up to 30 mg and see if that helps.
