Can anyone out there, who has been using Cymbalta for longer than a month, please tell me about any weight gain or loss side effects they might be having. I am having a very difficult time finding any "real user" information on their direct experience in regards to weight.Thankyou.

initially i lost weight on cymbalta...probably 10 pounds in two months. Then my weight evened off but with the holidays i put some back on. I think what cymbalta is doing now will be to allow me to not eat as much as i used to if i want to...just make it easier to say no...not to say i won't feel hunger as i didn't the first few months.

I've been taking Cymbalta for two months now and have had no weight change, neither up nor down.

Suslee - I seemed to lose a few pounds (3-5) on this drug. My appetite is smaller and I become full quicker.

I did not gain or lose weight on Cymbalta. But I did get some facial edema---I would wake up all puffy in the face (not unusual for me) but it would not really go away during the course fo the day (unusual for me). BUt Cymbalta didnt agree with me personally, so probably others dont have this side effect.

I lost about 10 pounds in a couple of weeks, primarily due to decreased appetite and carb cravings, but it seemed to stimulate my whole HPA axis as I noticed more energy, less oily skin/breakouts and hair loss, less puffiness. That began on 30mg for starters, but was maintained when I decreased the dose to 5mg due to significant side effects.

I haven't experienced any noteworthy weight gain or loss in about 2 months, just 1 month at 60 mg/day and just under a month at 90 mg/day
