I do know about Restless leggs, I have had that problem for over six years. I take Klonopin at night for it, and it works wonders. It makes me tired, and takes away the funny feeling I get in my feet when I am in bed, and also lets me sleep through the night without waking myslef or my husband up. Good luck with it, I do know there are several medications to try for this syndrom. -L

All quinine H2O is is tonic water. And, yes, a glass or can of tonic water might help. As for meds, I saw that one babbler has been using a low dose of Mirapex (I think that's the name of it) for restless legs.

i have heard mirapex is good...i think it is a parkinson drug? not positive. i tried it briefly but couldn't handle the side effects. Think i'll try the tonic water suggestion...that's one i havent' tried.

Hey:
I take Klonopin for anxiety, and found that it also really helped my RLS (which I wasn't expecting!).
I take .25mg in the evening. It doesn't completely stop the RLS but reduces it enough to keep my bed covers on me at night!!
JasPS I'd never heard of the tonic water solution. Ha, another good reason for the occasional G & T :)

Klonopin is used as well as low-dose Mirapex. I've been taking .5mg of Mirapex for RLS and it's been working really well. For severe cases they also use opiates.

Hi, I got restless legs as a result of taking antipsychotics. On rispiridone it was agony. I now take seroquel and I get it occasionally. I take the drug Procyclidine for it, as and when I need it. I think this is an anti-parkisons/parkansonian (?) drug.

I’ve had severe RLS for quite some time. I find stretching and exercise to be very helpful. Also I try to stay away from lots of processed foods. Ativan helps when the pain is moderate and for the really bad nights I take pain medication.
