Hello everyone,
I've tried 10s of ADs from every class, and all caused weight gain to different degrees...I'm not a fat person, but I HATE gaining weight...and that is why I stopped ALL AD's because of this and returned to my usual shape.
I now stick to benzodiazepines because they are the only psychotropics that did not have any effect on weight...but it is not enough...
The only ADs that seemed not to cause weight gain on me were :
Milnacipran(Ixel)
Reboxetine(Edronax)
Bupropion(Zyban/Wellbutrin)
Moclobemide (Aurorix)
BUT,I could not handle them for more than few days/weeks because they had the worst AD side effects from severe agitation, irritation, aggression,to severe depression!...to no effect at all!!If only something like Imipramine or Fluoxetine did not cause the weight gain!!
Sorry for my ramblings...
any suggestions would be highly appreciated,Regards,
Adam.

I'm sorry to hijack your thread but since you've taken most drugs I wondered whether you'd ever taken any of these.......
Pivagabine (Tonerg).... a CRF modulator and a weak GABA transaminase inhibitor. I think it was originally available in Italy.
Oxaflozane (Conflictan)..... I believe that this was a French AD with a serotonergic mechanism of action. It was said to have anti-conflict activity, hence the brand name.
Metapramine (Timaxel)....... This AD was said to work by increasing NE turnover and acting as an NMDA antagonist.
Iprindole (Prondol)..... This drug was formerly used in the UK and Ireland as a treatment for depression. Its mechanism of action was very poorly understood.
