Focalin versus Ritalin

Has anyone on babble taken both of these meds?

If you have, did you notice any difference between them?

Ed.

Yep, I tried both of them. I must say that I didn't notice much difference. Focalin kicked in really fast (20 minutes or so), but it also crashed very quickly as well (about 2 hrs), so I found it useless (and frustrating) in that type of formulation. I was on Ritalin-LA which is probably not the best comparison, but Rit-LA kicked in pretty quick and felt about the same as the Focalin. I found that a 5mg tab of Focalin felt about the same as taking half a capsule of Ritalin-LA (20mg), except you get the added release of Rit-LA 4 hrs later. Despite the added release there was a significant downturn 2-3 hrs postdosing with that.

couldn't tell the difference, myself. switched back to ritalin because the pharmacy was more likely to stock it.
