I've just read that a drug called veralipride (Agreal) is used in some countries to treat menopausal symptoms such as hot flashes. Apparantly it's quite effective! Oddly, veralipride is actually an antipsychotic.
Veralipride is similar to amisulpride and sulpiride, both popular antipsychotics in the UK.
Veralipride is used in Argentina, Belgium, Brazil, Chile, France, Hong Kong, Italy, Mexico, Portungal and Spain.
