Lamictal and weight gain?

Has anyone noticed a weight issue with lamictal? I was on paxil and gained weight, but stopped and I still am having problems. I dont eat that much so It cant be that.
Anyone have this problem too?

Lamictal is worth about 10 lbs.

I gained 22lb on Effexor and another 11lb on lamictal

I was PROMISED both are weight neutral

I started lamictal about a month ago and am up to 100mg daily and believe it's starting to help a bit (knock on wood) but this is the first I've heard of a weight gain side effect.

I've always been curious about this though...specifically with this med, or if they're all the same when it comes to this, is the weight gain caused exclusively by the med, or does it simply increase the apetite?

I suppose that I'm one of the lucky ones that hasn't had a weight issue with lamictal.

By the way, paxil is notorous for weight gain...
