I feel much better, I don't know what to do.

Posted by linkadge on December 8, 2004, at 15:38:14

I feel much better, almost too good. I don't know what to do. Should I stop using it now? Where do I find reseach on this? How long will it last? What am I doing to myself? If I mention this to my doctor he'll no doubt tell me to stop using the rTMS ? Will he?

Nobody can tell you what to do, but if you are feeling better now, why push the envelope? I guess if I were you, I would stop now and see how you do over the next few days or week. I have no doubt that if/when you tell your pdoc about your homemade device and how it has helped you, he/she will be surprised/shocked, but, nevertheless, will likely advise you to stop using it. However, at your next appointment, you may well be in a position to convince the doctor that your current meds are not working effectively for you, and that it is time to try a new approach of meds.

You had mentioned before that Sam-e had helped you. How much Sam-e did you need on a daily basis to provide relief?

Take care Linkadge, and be careful.

Awesome Link! Awesome Donna!

Glad to hear that you are feeling really good, Link. . . I have been following your posts and this is great. The link that Donna provided is all about cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT). I start CBT next week with my new pdoc who trained with Dr. Burns author of "Feeling Good The New Mood Therapy". Dr. Burns trained under Aaron Beck, M.D.

Donna, I have been following your posts and I think CBT will be extremely helpful for you. I applaud your efforts to feel better!

My best to you both,
AnneL

I tried 1600mg of SAMe with good results.

I just simply cannot afford it though. Insurance doesn't pay for supplements.
