Very interesting article, I suggest all take the time to read it! In adddition I had an appointment with the head of Infection Control at a very prestigious hospital in NC today because I have chronic Lyme's Disease besides anxiety and depression. I saw a leaflet on Effexor and told him about the lawsuits starting with Effexor. Get this! an MD said "Most of our pts that go on it have to go offit because their blood pressure goes up so much. I'm glad I've never had to take something like this". Very interesting! I know I am right now to cotinue to wean myself off Cymbalta.

Many thanks for posting that link Dan.
My wife died of a seizure disorder on 12/16/03. Wife was bipolar and an epileptic, wife's shrink treated both her epilepsy and bipolar, wife was depressed and for several months before her death was taking 600 mgs of Effexor XR along with other 11 other meds.
I read the story and my blood pressure went skyhigh, have forwarded the link to my attorneys investigating her death.
Many thanks.

I really am grateful for the kindness and sympathy extended to me by the members of this community, particularly want to thank eduk for his compassion and support. My wife was 47, we have three wonderful sons, she really suffered with her problems but she was a wonderful mother and wife, she would occasionally require hospitalization in order to get stabilized, when she got really depressed she would say that the kids and I would be much better off if she were dead, that was always a sure sign to take her to the hospital.
She will be dead a year next week, I hope that she is able to look down on her boys and myself and see how wrong she was. To read the article that Dan has posted angers me so much, thank you everybody for all the kindness you extend to me and to each other.
